"El Trey" & "Summer Fiesta", matched number set - A.J. Masthay

$420.00

Original, 3-color, hand-pulled linocuts by artist A.J. Masthay. This pair of posters are a matched number set made for Trey Anastasio’s Summer Tour 2001. An update on Phish’s website, dated April 19, 2001, states: “The tour marks Trey’s third solo outing with the same rhythm section — bassist Tony Markellis and drummer Russ Lawton. Originally a trio when Trey toured in the spring of 1999, Anastasio added Dave Grippo on saxophone, Jennifer Hartswick on trumpet and Andy Moroz on trombone for a three week tour this past February. The group of six will become eight this summer when Trey adds saxophonist Russell Remington (of Giant Country horns fame) and keyboardist Ray Paczkowski to the mix”. Stored flat since they were purchased direct from the artist in 2001, both posters are in As-New condition, and have been in the possession of only one smoke-free owner.

  • “El Trey” measures approx. 12” x 17” (bottom and left edges deckled)

  • “Summer Fiesta” measures approx. 15” x 22” (all 4 edges deckled)

  • Hand signed and numbered, matched set 15/50
